Pan African Youth arranges field study tours for both local and foreign students, groups, and organizations that are interested in specific areas of research or studies in Africa.

The program is intended to engage the participants in experiential education to expand upon what they have learned in their normal classes and internships. University students can earn academic credit in this program. Areas of study include psychology, agriculture, economics, family life/education, anthropology, arts and culture, history, law, tropical medicine, forestry, marketing, education, water and sanitation, and the environment, among others.

The program includes a three-day volunteer or internship program in a school, orphanage, law firm, media house, hospital, clinic, conservation or environmental agency, forestry, or other location. Program participants will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with other local folks including university students, research organization and Pan African Youth volunteers in the host country. There is an option to visit some schools and research organizations. Food, accommodation -- be it host family or individual accomodation -- and tours are provided.
